An immersionist filmmaker with a flare for the divine, Ben’s teenage foray into filmmaking was a shot for shot remake of the classic Tupac gangster film Juice. With a Masters degree in Communications, Ben spent years building and documenting with homeless communities living off grid in Toronto’s Don Valley ravine. As a follow up, Ben produced Shooting Donald, an intimate portrait of his older brother’s journey from all-star high school basketball player to citywide drug dealing kingpin. Shortly after, Ben released Ghostfoot Thunderfist, a documentary short about legendary martial artist and Kung-Fu movie mega star Hwang In-Shik. Having built a lengthy career as a writer, producer, director and editor of countless award winning commercials, music videos and documentary shorts, Ben also moonlights as a youth worker, basketball coach and professional tarot card reader.
